About the event organiser
German Open Championships (GOC)
Stuttgart is now a well-established name on the competitive dance scene. Since 2004, dancers have been coming to the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle from around 60 countries to find winners in almost 50 categories. The GOC is the only event of its kind in the world: from children to seniors, amateurs and professionals, from wheelchair dancing to boogie woogie, no other event on the competitive calendar offers such diversity.
The dancers love coming to Stuttgart. Some 3,500 starts over a period of five days clearly demonstrate this. Together with the old riding arena, the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle provides an ideal setting for the competition and its conventions before and after the main event.
